Description
Help your students ride the wave of learning with this engaging Waves One-Pager Research Project! Designed for middle-school science (grades 6-8), this activity invites learners to explore the fundamentals of waves — especially the difference between transverse waves (where particle motion is perpendicular to wave propagation) and longitudinal waves (where particle motion is parallel) — then transform their understanding into a visually appealing, student-designed one-page summary.
This resource is perfect for a unit review, gallery-walk display, alternative assessment, or enrichment activity. Whether you teach in-person, digitally, or in a hybrid format, the files are print-and-go or fully editable — saving you prep time while engaging students deeply.
When students are finished with their one pagers, have them do a gallery walk to view other students work. When my students finish one pagers, I put all of their finished projects on a Prezi and have them do a virtual gallery walk. The students love it! A gallery walk worksheet is included!
