Native American Heritage One Pager Research Project

Description

Honor Indigenous voices and deepen student understanding with this engaging Native American Heritage One-Pager Research Project! Designed for grades 4 – 8 (and adaptable upwards), this activity invites students to research a Native American culture, tribe, leader, or historical topic — and then distill their learning into a visually compelling, single-page creative summary.

Ideal for use during Native American Heritage Month (November), as a culminating project in a social studies unit, gallery-walk display, or alternative assessment, this resource is ready to deploy — whether you teach in-person, hybrid, or fully remote. The project is print-and-go or fully editable to match your classroom branding.

When students are finished with their one pagers, have them do a gallery walk to view other students work. When my students finish one pagers, I put all of their finished projects on a Prezi and have them do a virtual gallery walk. The students love it! A gallery walk worksheet is included!
