Description
Take your students on a stellar journey from cosmic dust to stellar remnants with this engaging Life Cycle of a Star One-Pager Research Project! Designed for middle school (grades 6–8) science, this activity invites learners to investigate how stars form, evolve, and end their lives — covering stages such as nebula, protostar, main sequence, red giant/supergiant, supernova/planetary nebula, and final remnants.
Whether you’re teaching in-person, online, or hybrid, this project is ideal for a unit wrap-up, gallery-walk display, alternative assessment, or enrichment activity. The resource is print-and-go or fully editable, saving your prep time while engaging students in meaningful science.
When students are finished with their one pagers, have them do a gallery walk to view other students work. When my students finish one pagers, I put all of their finished projects on a Prezi and have them do a virtual gallery walk. The students love it! A gallery walk worksheet is included!
