Bring American history to life with this American Presidents 3D Research Project Cube — Biography Project, a hands-on, student-centered research activity designed for upper elementary and middle school classrooms. Students investigate the lives, leadership styles, key decisions, and historical impact of U.S. presidents, then synthesize their learning into a three-dimensional research cube that makes biography and civic understanding visual, engaging, and memorable.
Ideal for U.S. history units, presidential studies, social studies research projects, and STEM biographies, this activity blends research, informational writing, critical thinking, and creative presentation — while producing display-ready student work for bulletin boards, gallery walks, and classroom showcases.
Students can complete these cubes two ways. You can print the template on card stock and have them complete it by hand, or you can give them the PowerPoint template, have them complete it in PowerPoint, then print the completed cube.
