Description
Bring astronomy exploration to life with this Solar System 3D Research Project Cube, a hands-on, student-centered research activity designed for upper elementary and middle school science classrooms. Students investigate the Sun and planets of our solar system, compare characteristics then synthesize their findings into a three-dimensional research cube that makes complex astronomy concepts visual, engaging, and memorable.
Perfect for space science units, solar system lessons, this activity blends inquiry-based research, scientific writing, critical thinking, and creative presentation while producing student work that’s ideal for classroom or hallway displays.
Students can complete these cubes two ways. You can print the template on card stock and have them complete it by hand, or you can give them the PowerPoint template, have them complete it in PowerPoint, then print the completed cube.
Your students will be completely engaged with this hands-on science activity!
