Description
Explore the building blocks of our world — both naturally occurring and engineered — with this engaging Natural & Synthetic Materials One-Pager Research Project! Designed for middle-school science (grades 6-8) or early high school introduction, this project invites students to research what materials are, compare natural vs. synthetic materials, understand how synthetic materials are derived from natural resources and discuss the environmental, economic, and social impacts of both.
This resource works beautifully as a unit review, gallery-walk display, alternative assessment, or enrichment task. Whether you teach in-person, digitally, or in a hybrid format, this print-and-go or fully editable digital version saves you prep time and engages your learners meaningfully.
When students are finished with their one pagers, have them do a gallery walk to view other students work. When my students finish one pagers, I put all of their finished projects on a Prezi and have them do a virtual gallery walk. The students love it!
