Description
Get your students tuning in to the physics of waves with this engaging Sound One-Pager Research Project! Designed for middle school science (grades 6-8), this activity invites learners to explore the nature of sound — how sound is produced (vibrations), how it travels (through solids, liquids, gases), properties like pitch, volume, frequency, and real-world applications of sound waves.
This resource is ideal for use as a unit wrap-up, gallery-walk display, alternative assessment, or enrichment activity. Whether you teach in-person, digitally, or in a hybrid format, this resource is print-and-go or fully editable, saving you prep time while engaging students meaningfully.
When students are finished with their one pagers, have them do a gallery walk to view other students work. When my students finish one pagers, I put all of their finished projects on a Prezi and have them do a virtual gallery walk. The students love it! A gallery walk worksheet is included!
Whats included?
- (PDF) Student directions that double as a place for them to record their research.
