Description
Help your students explore the celestial drama of shadows and light with this engaging Eclipses One-Pager Research Project! Designed for middle-school science (grades 6-8), this activity invites learners to investigate both solar and lunar eclipses—how they occur, what causes the different types (partial, total, annular), and how orbital geometry and alignment make them possible.
Whether you’re teaching in-person, online, or in a hybrid set-up, this resource is perfect for a unit review, gallery-walk display, alternative assessment, or enrichment activity. It’s designed to be print-and-go or fully editable, so you can easily tailor it to your class while engaging students with meaningful, high-impact work.
When students are finished with their one pagers, have them do a gallery walk to view other students work. When my students finish one pagers, I put all of their finished projects on a Prezi and have them do a virtual gallery walk. The students love it!
